Double side and rear extension, with a full refurbishment

Our client in Essex wanted us to convert the storage area above the bike shop into 2 self contained flats. This was a very complicated project as the original building was built in the 18th century. The original structure wouldn’t pass today’s building regulations, therefore we had to take out all the ceiling and floor joists and fit new structural steels and renew all structural walls and floors. Once the flats were complete we had to fit out the shop with new electrics, suspended ceilings and flooring.
